MONTREAL (AP) — Aaron Ekblad, Johnny Gaudreau & Dylan Larkin each scored twice to assist North America beat Europe 7-4 on Sunday night in the second of three exhibition games for both sides leading into the World Cup of Hockey.

Morgan Rielly moreover scored, & John Gibson made 29 saves for the team made up of Canadian & U.S players 23 or under as of Oct. 1. North America led 5-1 after the first period.

''We were making plays, we were fast,'' coach Todd McLellan said. ''But the game tightened up & we didn't do a satisfactory job of adjusting. The whole night turned into making nice plays. They forgot approximately the grit game & the defending. These young players want to have pleasant & play that way, yet if we donate up four goals a night, we're not going to have success. We received cute. We received fancy. We have to play a better, solid team game.''

Czechs Krejci, Hertl, Gudas out of World Cup of Hockey

PRAGUE (AP) — The Czech Republic's David Krejci, Tomas Hertl & Radko Gudas are all out of the World Cup of Hockey due to injuries, the Czech Ice Hockey Association said on Saturday.

Krejci, the Boston Bruins center, needs more time to recover from hip surgery & will be replaced by Roman Cervenka of Swiss club HC Fribourg-Gotteron for the tournament, which starts on Sept. 17 in Toronto.

''David Krejci was supposed to be one of our key players, yet his (surgery) makes it impossible for him to participate,'' Czech Republic coach Josef Jandac said in a statement on Saturday. ''We have to respect that.''
