London (AFP) – Arsene Wenger has warned his hot-headed Arsenal players not to lose their composure again when they face bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the League Cup third round on Wednesday.

Wenger's side head to White Hart Lane for the first north London derby of the season after two successive defeats featuring three red cards for the Gunners.

France striker Olivier Giroud was dismissed in last week's Champions League loss against Dinamo Zagreb, while Brazilian defender Gabriel & Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla were sent off in Saturday's painful 2-0 defeat at Chelsea.

Sept 16 (Reuters) – Sunderland defender Younes Kaboul feels he is still far from full fitness yet the club's summer recruit is confident he will be back at his best shortly as his team search for their first win this season.

The 29-year-old Frenchman joined Sunderland from Tottenham Hotspur & has struggled for form & fitness during the club's previous matches in their Premier League campaign.

Sunderland (United Kingdom) (AFP) – Ryan Mason scored & was then stretchered off as Tottenham Hotspur won 1-0 at Sunderland on Sunday to record their first victory of the Premier League season.

Sunderland were on top for three-quarters of the match at the Stadium of Light, hitting the post through Tottenham old boy Jermain Defoe, yet it was Spurs who prevailed when substitute Erik Lamela teed up Mason for an 82nd-minute winner.

London (AFP) – Nathan Dyer scored a brave 89th-minute winner as Leicester City stormed back from 2-0 down to beat Aston Villa 3-2 & claim second place in the Premier League on Sunday.

Villa looked set to inflict a first defeat of the campaign on Claudio Ranieri's men after stylish first-time finishes either side of half-time by Jack Grealish & Carles Gil put them in control at the King Power Stadium.

But Ritchie De Laet halved the deficit in the 72nd minute with a flick from a Riyad Mahrez corner that the Goal Decision System showed had just crossed the line before Jamie Vardy turned in Danny Drinkwater's low cross for the equaliser 10 minutes later.

BARCELONA, Aug 14 (Reuters) – Villarreal have reached an agreement to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado in a deal worth a reported 10 million euros ($11.12 million), the Spanish club confirmed on Friday.

The 30-year-old Spaniard returns to Spain after a disappointing spell in the Premier League where he failed to live up to his 26-million-pound ($40.68-million) transfer fee from Valencia two years ago. His record for Spurs was 16 goals in 76 matches in all competitions.

"Villarreal & Tottenham Hotspur have agreed the transfer of Spanish forward Roberto Soldado," read a statement on the Villarreal website (www.villarrealcf.es).

Madrid (AFP) – Spanish striker Roberto Soldado has joined Villarreal from Tottenham Hotspur on a three-year deal, both clubs confirmed on Friday.

"Villarreal CF & Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement for the transfer of Spanish striker Roberto Soldado, who will wear the yellow shirt for the next three seasons," Villarreal said in a statement on their website.

Soldado joined Spurs two years ago from Valencia for a then club record £26 million ($40.6 million) as Spurs invested heavily to compensate for the sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid.
