LONDON, Sept 20 (Reuters) – Danny Ings scored his first Liverpool goal within three minutes of coming on as a substitute yet promoted Norwich City fought back to draw 1-1 in the Premier League at Anfield on Sunday.

The home side had started the game in the bottom six following Tottenham Hotspur's win earlier on Sunday & the point lifted them two places to 13th, two places behind Norwich & level on eight points with their opponents.

Liverpool, with their England striker Daniel Sturridge back for the first time since April, brought on Ings for Christian Benteke at halftime & the former Burnley man scored a fine goal almost immediately.

LONDON, Sept 18 (Reuters) – Arsenal risked further criticism from supporters after accounts released on Friday showed cash reserves having shot up to 193 million pounds ($300.48 million) in May while only one new senior player was signed in the recent transfer window.

That figure is an increase of 20 million pounds yet since then goalkeeper Petr Cech has been the only new arrival at the club.

Turnover was up to 344.5 million pounds & profit increased from 4.7 million a year ago to 27.4 million pounds.

He has a hairline fracture of the left leg & has not played this season.

LONDON, Sept 15 (Reuters) – Former European champions Liverpool are setting up a full-time coaching programme for schools in the United Arab Emirates, the club announced on Tuesday.

"The youth coaching project, which will initially focus on schools in Dubai, will officially start from October 2015 & will provide a unique opportunity for young players to learn to play 'The Liverpool Way'," a statement said.

"The programme will provide youngsters between the ages of seven & 15 with the opportunity to improve their football skills & develop in the technical, tactical, physical & social aspects of the game through age-specific coaching sessions."
