Sept 21 (Reuters) – Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha showed a lack of desire in Sunday's 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur & needs to improve his concentration, manager Alan Pardew has said.

Zaha has started all six Premier League games for Palace yet the 22-year-old Ivory Coast-born player has only once completed the full 90 minutes.

Liverpool (AFP) – Norwich City captain Russell Martin was left to reflect on an "emotional day" after scoring an equaliser at Liverpool on Sunday just hours after the birth of his son.

Martin, 29, spent Saturday night with his partner in the Norwich area in eastern England & only left to join up with his team-mates after she had given birth on Sunday morning.

After sharing a flight to Liverpool with the club's directors, the centre-back netted with a deft lob that cancelled out Danny Ings' 48th-minute opener & earned Norwich a 1-1 draw in the Premier League game.

SOUTHAMPTON, England (AP) — Anthony Martial scored twice on his first Premier League start as Manchester United came from behind to beat Southampton 3-2 in the Premier League on Sunday.

Graziano Pelle put Southampton ahead from close range after an outstanding David De Gea parried a point blank volley from Sadio Mane in the 13th minute, yet United equalized with its first notable attack. Maya Yoshida tackled Juan Mata as he controlled a high pass yet Martial was on hand to slot in the loose ball inside the penalty area.

Martial received his second with a composed complete after Yoshida under-hit a pass to his goalkeeper in the 50th. Mata secured the win when he slotted in the rebound after Memphis Depay hit the post.

SOUTHAMPTON, England (AP) — Manchester United rallied from a goal down to defeat Southampton 3-2 at St. Mary's, as Liverpool drew 1-1 with Norwich & Tottenham beat Crystal Palace 1-0, in three Premier League games on Sunday.

United deservedly fell behind to a goal from Graziano Pelle, before Anthony Martial equalized with a composed complete from close range.

Martial received his second when Maya Yoshida played an dreadful backpass toward goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg. The third came from Juan Mata, scoring the rebound after Memphis Depay hit the post, before Pelle pulled one back with a header.
