More partying as Leicester collects Premier League trophy

LEICESTER, England (AP) — In scenes that would have seemed absurd a year ago, Leicester captain Wes Morgan collected the English Premier League trophy on Saturday after one of the most improbable turnarounds by a sports team.

''It's the best time of my life,'' Morgan, who joined Leicester as a second-tier club four years ago, said on the field. ''You just want to enjoy every minute.''

Fireworks erupted on the King Power Stadium pitch before yellow & blue streamers cascaded from the roof after the preseason 5,000-1 title longshots received their hands on the biggest prize in English football.

Aguero back scoring, leading City's Premier League charge

MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Look out, Premier League: Sergio Aguero is back to fitness, back scoring goals & leading Manchester City's charge to reel in Arsenal in the second half of the season.

After an injury-marred end to 2015, the Argentina striker has been eased back into prime shape in the last few weeks by City manager Manuel Pellegrini, who stepped up Aguero's playing time each game over the festive period.

Aguero, the Premier League's top scorer last season, is starting to deliver once again, either netting or assisting four of City's last five goals. On Saturday, he marked his fourth straight start with a stunning solo goal – a weaving run past three defenders before poking in a complete to set City on its way to a 3-0 win over Norwich in the FA Cup.

Ferguson reveals pursuit of Guardiola as United successor

LONDON (AP) — Alex Ferguson lined up Pep Guardiola as his potential successor at Manchester United yet the Spanish coach didn't call him before taking the Bayern Munich job.

In his new book ''Leading,'' Ferguson said the club ''established that several very desirable candidates were unavailable'' before David Moyes was hired in 2013 for an unsuccessful 11-month spell in charge.

After Guardiola left Barcelona in mid-2012, Ferguson had dinner with the former Barcelona coach in New York but, as his own retirement was not on the agenda yet, there was no ''direct proposal'' for the Spaniard to one day take over at United.
