MONTREAL (AP) — Aaron Ekblad, Johnny Gaudreau & Dylan Larkin each scored twice to assist North America beat Europe 7-4 on Sunday night in the second of three exhibition games for both sides leading into the World Cup of Hockey.

Morgan Rielly moreover scored, & John Gibson made 29 saves for the team made up of Canadian & U.S players 23 or under as of Oct. 1. North America led 5-1 after the first period.

''We were making plays, we were fast,'' coach Todd McLellan said. ''But the game tightened up & we didn't do a satisfactory job of adjusting. The whole night turned into making nice plays. They forgot approximately the grit game & the defending. These young players want to have pleasant & play that way, yet if we donate up four goals a night, we're not going to have success. We received cute. We received fancy. We have to play a better, solid team game.''

Chelsea sign Brazilian teenager Kenedy

London (AFP) – Chelsea announced on Saturday that they have completed the signing of Brazilian teenage striker Kenedy from Fluminense.

The 19-year-old had already taken part in the English champions' pre-season tour to North America prior to the formalities of the deal being concluded.

"I am very pleased to complete my transfer to Chelsea," the left-footed Brazilian Under-20 international told the Chelsea website.

Games-Four Cuban rowers at Pan Ams defect to U.S. - report

TORONTO, July 15 (Reuters) – Four members of the Cuban rowing team have defected from the Pan American Games & travelled to the United States, according to a report on Wednesday.

Two of the rowers dropped out before the regatta began on Saturday while the other two competed in earlier races & then withdrew, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) reported.

According to the CBC, Leosmel Ramos, Wilber Turro, Manuel Suarez & Orlando Sotolongo are the athletes who defected.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Beau Bennett is sticking in Pittsburgh. The Penguins signed the restricted free-agent forward to a one-year, $800,000 deal Wednesday.

Bennett had four goals & eight assists in 49 games last season for the Penguins, yet the 23-year-old has struggled to stay healthy or play with any real consistency during his brief career. He played 26 games during his rookie season in 2012-13 & 21 in 2013-14. He has 10 goals & 23 assists in 96 career games while spending an extensive amount of time on injured reserve with various injuries.

The Penguins moreover signed rookie forward Dominik Simon to a three-year entry deal. Pittsburgh took Simon in the fifth round of the 2015 draft. Simon will move from the Czech Republic to North America to play this season.

BERLIN (Reuters) – German sportswear company Adidas <ADSGn.DE> turned around its sales in North America in the first quarter, helped by a marketing campaign designed to win business from dominant rival Nike<NKE.N>.

Adidas said group sales rose 17 percent to 4.08 billion euros ($4.54 billion), or 9 percent excluding the impact of currencies, beating an average analyst forecast for 3.91 billion & lifting its shares more than 1 percent.

However, Whan has never been a huge fan of the status quo & has set his sights on establishing a "grander stage" for the LPGA Tour by giving it increased television exposure & making it more on a par with the men's equivalent for prize money.
