Sept 22 (Reuters) – Liverpool striker Christian Benteke is set to undergo scan after sustaining a hamstring injury during their 1-1 draw to Norwich City on Sunday, first team coach Gary McAllister has said.

The Belgium international, who was withdrawn at half-time against the Canaries due to tightness in his hamstring, has scored two goals for the club.

McAllister moreover confirmed captain Jordan Henderson had a successful operation on his broken metatarsal.

LIVERPOOL, England (AP) — Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has broken his right foot & could be out for up to eight weeks.

The 25-year-old Henderson sustained the injury in training on Friday & is expected to have an operation on Monday.

Henderson confirmed he is injured on Twitter, saying he is ''very disappointed & frustrated with the injury setback yet will work complex to be back as quickly as possible.''

LONDON, Sept 19 (Reuters) – Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson is facing up to two months on the sidelines after breaking a bone in his foot during a training session, British media reported on Saturday.

Henderson, 25, who has played 22 times for England, only resumed training on Friday, after returning from the United States, where he had undergone treatment on a heel problem.

Henderson broke the bone in his right foot & is expected to face surgery on Monday.

Sept 15 (Reuters) – Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is facing an extended spell on the sidelines & has flown to the United States for treatment on a foot injury that has ruled him out of the last three games, British media reported.

The England international injured his heel in the 1-0 over Bournemouth on Aug. 17 & has not played since.

Liverpool have struggled in his absence, picking up just one point from a run of games that included a 0-0 draw with Arsenal, a 3-0 defeat by West Ham United & Saturday's 3-1 loss to Manchester United.
