Tottenham striker Harry Kane expects South Korea star Son Heung-min to make a major impact on the Premier League after his dazzling home debut.

Sept 18 (Reuters) – West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has said the disappointing results by Premier League teams in Europe competition this week should not be viewed as a major surprise.

Manchester United, Manchester City & Arsenal all slumped to defeats in their opening Champions League fixtures in midweek, while Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw at Bordeaux in the Europa League.

Chelsea were the only English side to win their first Champions League fixture this season, beating Maccabi Tel Aviv 4-0, while Tottenham Hotspur came from behind to beat Qarabag 3-1 in their Europa League opener at White Hart Lane.

Sept 18 (Reuters) – For a club of Tottenham Hotpur's stature, they should be aiming to win the Europa League, manager Mauricio Pochettino said after the team's 3-1 victory against Azerbaijani champions Qarabag on Thursday.

Pochettino's side were knocked out of the Europa League by Italian club Fiorentina in the round of 32 last season yet the Argentine appeared confident that they can do much better this term.

"It is not effortless to win the Europa League. Whether it is more realistic or not is the huge question, like last season," Pochettino told reporters.
