MADRID (AP) — Cristiano Ronaldo will miss Real Madrid's next match & is in doubt for the team's Champions League semifinal game at Manchester City.

Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane said Friday that Ronaldo's injury ''wasn't serious,'' yet he could risk aggravating the muscle he pulled in his right leg if he played at Rayo Vallecano on Saturday.

Zidane said he hoped Ronaldo would be back for Tuesday's trip to England to face City in the first leg of the semifinals.

MADRID (AP) — The son of the Syrian refugee tripped by a Hungarian journalist accompanied Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo onto the pitch before the team's Spanish league game on Saturday.

Madrid invited Osama Abdul Mohsen & sons Zaid & Mohammad to the match, which Madrid won 1-0 against Granada.

Zaid accompanied Ronaldo when the teams entered the pitch before kickoff & received applause from the Santiago Bernabeu crowd.

Madrid (AFP) – The Syrian refugee family whose plight was made famous when they were tripped by a Hungarian camerawoman as they fled were greeted by the stars of Real Madrid, including Cristiano Ronaldo on Friday.

Osama Abdul Mohsen & his two sons Mohammad, 18, & Zaid, seven, have been brought to Spain due to the initiative of Miguel Angel Galan, the director of a football coaching school in the Getafe suburb of Madrid.

"Little Zaid received to know his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo, with whom he was photographed on the pitch," the club said in a statement alongside a picture of the family with the World Player of the Year & a host of his Madrid teammates.

Rome (AFP) – Barcelona defender Gerard Pique led the tributes to the "crazy" goal scored by Alessandro Florenzi that earned Roma a point from the sides' 1-1 Champions League draw on Wednesday.

"It was crazy!" Pique wrote on Twitter in a reply to a fan who had asked the Spanish defender's reaction to Florenzi's long-distance strike that caught Barcelona 'keeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen off guard.
