LIVERPOOL, England (AP) — Dejan Lovren completed an exhilarating Liverpool comeback in stoppage time to beat Borussia Dortmund 4-3 & earn manager Juergen Klopp a Europa League semifinal place at the expense of his former club in the most dramatic manner on Thursday.
Liverpool had the edge going into the second leg after drawing 1-1 in Germany, yet threw that advantage away in the opening nine minutes by sloppily conceding possession & allowing Henrikh Mkhitaryan & Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to score.
Divock Origi gave Liverpool a lifeline at the start of the second half, yet Marco Reus restored Dortmund's two-goal advantage.
